As I was finishing this piece, the name 'Avalon' came to mind. I knew that the name was connected to a mythical place, perhaps a lake. So it was interesting to do some more research online.
 
Avalon is a legendary island where, according to some sources, Excalibur was forged. According to Celtic mythology, Avalon was believed to exist 'between worlds', as a place of healing for the wounded, and where crops flourished and people lived extraordinarily long lives. Ancient, mythical, and magical.
 
The bright Aquamarine stone represents the clear water of where we can cleanse ourselves of lower energies. Water represents the feminine, the flow, and the movement. This stone is written to be a particularly good aid in calming excessive anger, mood swings, and overly judgemental thoughts.
 
To me, this is a stone of clarity and calm. Aquamarine relates to the throat and heart chakras, making it a good stone for communication as well.
 
This piece feels ancient to me, touching on old magical knowledge, and I think the actual owner of this pendant will read a lot more into it than I can. Sometimes when I create, the pieces, patterns, and colours are so diverse, that I feel like I am creating them specifically for others who need them or feel a deep connection to them.
